History

Agro Paris Tech was formed in 2007 by the merger of three long-established higher education institutions in the field of life sciences:

The National Agricultural School (Institut national agronomique Paris-Grignon, INA-PG), whose predecessor was founded in 1826 It is one of the best schools in France in agriculture, with a relatively complete range of majors.

The National School of Forestry, Water and Environment (École nationale du génie rural, des eaux et des forêts, ENGREF), founded in 1824, has advantages in water, forestry, and environmental management.

The National Higher School of Agriculture and Food Industries (École nationale supérieure des industries agricoles et alimentaires, ENSIA), founded in 1893.

Established in 2007.

School Strength

Teaching Quality: Academic education covers engineering degree, master's degree and doctoral degree courses. The professional settings are closely centered on the fields of life, food and environmental sciences. The courses focus on combining theory with practice. Through internships, project practices and other links, students' practical operation and problem-solving abilities are cultivated, and graduates have strong competitiveness in the job market.

Faculty: It has a team of highly qualified teachers, including 230 teachers and researchers. They not only have a deep academic background, but also have rich practical experience, and can provide students with professional guidance and cutting-edge industry insights.

Scientific Research Level: As a research-intensive college, Agro Paris Tech has 39 research laboratories and 300 researchers. It conducts in-depth research in six fields, including life sciences, agriculture, forestry and land sciences, food health, natural resources, energy, synthetic fibers and carbon materials science, and social sciences.
