Location: Located in Kaposvár on the Kapos River in southwestern Hungary, 220 km from Budapest, 60 km from Vienna, and 90 km from Bratislava.

History and establishment time

The university was established on January 1, 2000. It was approved by the Hungarian Parliament on 2005 and was established on the basis of integrating local teaching departments and scientific research institutions in Kaposva.
