Introduction: Ibero-American University is a private university with a high reputation in Mexico. It has a certain influence both domestically and internationally and is an important part of the Jesuit University System in Mexico.

History: Founded by the Jesuits in 1943, it was greatly helped by Rodolfo Brito Foucher, president of the National Autonomous University of Mexico. Originally named Centro Cultural Universitario, it developed into a mature university ten years later with funding from the business community. In 1988, the school moved to a new campus in the Santa Fe district of Mexico City.

Campus environment: The main campus is located in the Santa Fe district of Mexico City and covers an area of 48 acres. The campus has modern teaching buildings, laboratories, workshops, multiple auditoriums, a medical center, three cafeterias, a bookstore, a stationery store, a bank branch, an exhibition hall and an art gallery. The main library, the Francisco Xavier Clavigero Library, has a collection of more than 400,000 books, making it one of the largest university libraries in Mexico. The campus also has a radio station, sports fields, gymnasiums, basketball and tennis courts, and offers a variety of sports courses and sports teams.
