Beijing Vocational College of Transportation is a public higher vocational college in Beijing. It was founded in 1960 and is a public institution directly under the Beijing Municipal Transportation Commission. The college is the core school of Beijing Transportation Vocational Education Group, the chairman unit of the National Urban Rail Transit Vocational Education Group, the deputy director unit of the National Transportation Vocational Education Teaching Steering Committee, and the director unit of the National Transportation Vocational Education Teaching Steering Committee Urban Rail Transit Professional Teaching Steering Committee. The college is also a demonstration university for innovation and entrepreneurship education reform in Beijing, a national supervisory unit, and a Beijing supervisory unit. At present, national and municipal key training bases such as automobile application engineering, urban rail transit, and logistics management have been built, a highway engineering quality inspection center with Class A level has been built, and a Chinese ancient architecture training base that inherits ancient construction technology and technology has been built. The college has nearly 6,700 full-time students, more than 600 adult education students, 10,000 industry training per year, and 60,000 professional skills assessment and appraisal per year. ☑ School characteristics In order to meet the needs of the capital's transportation industry for senior technical and management professionals, under the leadership of the Beijing Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, and led by the Beijing Municipal Education Commission, Municipal Transportation Commission, and Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, the college was established in October 2009 as the first vocational education group approved by the Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, the Beijing Transportation Vocational Education Group. Under the conditions of group-based schooling, the college fully implements the "3510" development strategy, builds a modern Beijing transportation vocational education system under the Internet + vocational education group-based school-running model, and builds five platforms for talent demand information, teacher interaction, training base sharing, vocational training and skills appraisal, and transportation application technology and management research and development promotion, forming a world-renowned and distinctive vocational college school-running pattern. The college actively responds to the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei coordinated development strategy, actively adapts to the capital's construction of a high-end economic structure adjustment for the cultivation of high-end technology and application-oriented management talents, participates in the establishment of the "Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei-Shanghai-Nanjing-Shanxi-Sichuan" transportation vocational education group-based school-running alliance, and carries out high-level forums, teacher competitions, and teacher-student exchanges. At the end of 2012, Beijing Transportation Vocational Education Group participated in the regional development and poverty alleviation work of the western Yunnan border area of the State Council, and became one of the 10 vocational education groups selected by the State Council and the Ministry of Education to cooperate with the western Yunnan border mountainous areas. As the core school of Beijing Transportation Vocational Education Group, the college takes talent poverty alleviation as the main line to support the development of Lijiang City, Yunnan Province. The college and Lijiang City Vocational School carry out the connection between secondary and higher vocational education and targeted enrollment of higher vocational education; free teacher training has been carried out for teachers of vocational colleges in Lijiang City, Pu'er City and other places in Yunnan Province for many years, and nearly 100 teachers have been trained so far, and it has been selected as a national poverty alleviation work experience case. ☑ School-enterprise cooperation and international cooperation Under the conditions of group school operation, the college has closely carried out school-enterprise cooperation with large state-owned enterprises in Beijing's transportation industry such as Beijing Metro and Bus Group, as well as world-renowned enterprises and educational institutions. All majors adopt the order-based training model 100%. Establish a "dual person in charge system" between school and enterprise, and determine the training plan and course content together with the employer to achieve deep integration between school and enterprise and jointly train students. Through the "order classes" between schools and enterprises, we continuously output outstanding graduates to support the development of Beijing's transportation industry. We innovated the talent training model and were selected as the first batch of "modern apprenticeship system" pilot projects by the Ministry of Education. The college cooperated with excellent foreign companies such as Toyota and Shanghai GM, and the quality of talent training was fully recognized. In 2014, the college was selected as a "brand building model school" by Toyota. In 2016, the college was rated as the "Best ASEP Cooperation School in China in 2015-2016" by Shanghai GM with the first place in the annual evaluation.
