School Overview Chengdu Textile College is a public full-time higher vocational college organized by the Sichuan Provincial Government and directly under the Sichuan Provincial Department of Education. Its predecessor was the National Central Technical College founded in 1939. In the 85-year process of running schools, it has always adhered to the original intention of serving the light industry and textile industry and insisted on taking the path of vocational education development. It is now a national demonstration (backbone) higher vocational college, a national high-quality higher vocational college, a national "double high plan" construction unit, and a Sichuan "double high plan" school (A file). The school is a national base for the inheritance of excellent traditional Chinese culture in ordinary colleges and universities, an executive college for the training plan for the inheritors of China's intangible cultural heritage, a pilot unit for the modern apprenticeship system of the Ministry of Education, a construction college for the "Smart Clothing Training Base" project of the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan" of the National Development and Reform Commission, and a training base for high-skilled talents in textile and clothing in China. The school is located in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, covering an area of 1,153 acres, with Xipu Campus (613 acres) and Qionglai Industry-Education Park (540 acres). Xipu Campus is located in Xipu Town, Pidu District, Chengdu, on the inner side of the northern section of Chengdu Fourth Ring Road (Ring Expressway), and is directly accessible by Chengguan High-speed Railway and Chengdu Metro Line 2; Qionglai Industry-Education Park is located in the planning area of Qionglai High-speed Railway New Town, close to Tianxinqiong Expressway and Chengpu High-speed Railway Qionglai Station.
