Hubei Engineering Vocational College is located in Huangshi City. It is a full-time public general college approved by the People's Government of Hubei Province and is affiliated to the People's Government of Huangshi City. The school was founded in 1964. The steady development over the past 60 years has laid a solid foundation for the school to develop rapidly. It has been rated as "National Advanced Vocational Education Unit", "National Advanced School for Vocational Guidance", "National Machinery Industry Cooperation Training High-quality Skilled Talents Innovation School", "Provincial Demonstration Base for Training High-skilled Talents", and has been rated as "Hubei Civilized Unit" for 14 consecutive years. In January 2022, the list of "double high" construction of the Provincial Department of Education was announced, and Hubei Engineering Vocational College was approved to build a provincial high-level higher vocational school. The majors of Internet of Things Application Technology and Mechanical Manufacturing and Automation were approved as provincial high-level professional groups.
