Lhasa Normal College is located at No. 88, Shengtao South Road, Chengguan District, Lhasa City. It is the only normal college in the Tibet Autonomous Region and the only university directly under the jurisdiction of Lhasa City. The school’s predecessor was the “Teacher Training Class” founded by the Lhasa Municipal Bureau of Culture and Education in 1964. Lhasa Normal School was established in August 1975. In February 2006, Lhasa Normal College (hereinafter referred to as "Lhasa Normal College") was established. The school covers an area of 612.5 acres. The construction area is 202,000 square meters. The total value of main teaching and scientific research instruments and equipment is 45.625 million yuan. There are 549,900 paper books. There are 1 affiliated primary school, 1 affiliated kindergarten, 54 types (120) on-campus experimental training rooms, and 67 off-campus internship and training bases.
