1. Basic Information of Luohe Food Vocational College The college is a higher vocational college with food industry as its background approved by the People's Government of Henan Province. It mainly cultivates urgently needed high-quality technical and skilled talents for the 200 billion-level food industry cluster in Luohe, China's famous food city, and the trillion-level food industry in Henan, a major food industry province. The college is a national advanced unit of vocational education, a vocational education training base supported by the central government, a demonstration base for the integrated development of "production, learning, research, and innovation" in China's food industry, a national-level training base for high-skilled food talents, a national-level collaborative innovation center for applied technology, a national-level crowd innovation space, the first batch of Henan Food Processing Pilot Bases named by the provincial government, Henan Vocational Education Brand Demonstration Characteristic Colleges, Henan High-quality Vocational Colleges, Henan High-level Vocational Schools and High-level Professional Group Construction Units, and also the Chairman Unit of Henan Food Vocational Education Group and the Secretary-General Unit of the Henan Food Industry Vocational Education School-Enterprise Cooperation Steering Committee. At present, the college has 9,165 students. It covers an area of 963.60 acres and has a construction area of 355,000 square meters. (II) Promote "dual-subject" education and implement "course sharing" In order to give full play to the human resource advantages of both schools and enterprises and achieve a high degree of integration of theoretical teaching and practical teaching, on the basis of jointly formulating professional talent training plans by schools and enterprises, the college teachers mainly teach public basic courses, professional basic courses and some professional courses, and the enterprise industry experts, professional and technical personnel and skilled craftsmen mainly teach the main professional courses and guide internships and training to jointly complete the professional teaching tasks. (III) Reconstruct the course structure system and implement "joint compilation of textbooks" The college focuses on the needs of industries and enterprises, breaks the discipline system, embodies the integrated characteristics of "teaching and practice", continuously optimizes teaching content, actively cooperates with enterprises, and jointly compiles course textbooks in accordance with the requirements of modern vocational education and teaching reform. In the compilation of textbooks, the "double editor" system and the "1:1" system are adopted, that is, one college teacher is the editor-in-chief, and one enterprise industry expert is the editor-in-chief; half of the editors are college teachers and half are enterprise personnel. In recent years, the school-enterprise cooperation has completed the compilation of 236 school-enterprise cooperation textbooks such as "Meat and Meat Products Production Technology", "Dairy Products Production Technology", and "Bakery Products Production Technology", which has enhanced the pertinence, practicality and advancement of course teaching content, and effectively promoted the realization of talent training goals. Since 2017, the college has collaborated with domestic first-class food universities and research institutes to build the Luohe Food Industry Public R&D Platform, and has established six R&D centers for functional foods, new foods, analysis and testing, nutrition and health, corporate collaborative innovation, and food big data.
