Qilu Normal University is a public full-time ordinary undergraduate normal college. The school’s predecessor was the College of Education of East China University, founded in 1948. In 1949, it moved from Yidu (Qingzhou City), Shandong Province to Jinan, Shandong Province. In 1960, it was renamed Shandong College of Education. In 2010, it was restructured and renamed Qilu Normal College. In 2018, it successfully passed the Ministry of Education's undergraduate teaching qualification assessment. In 2021, it was approved as one of the first batch of universities to support the construction of applied undergraduate universities in Shandong Province. It is the second batch of pilot universities for the construction of artificial intelligence-assisted teacher teams by the Ministry of Education.
