Zhejiang Gongshang Vocational and Technical College is one of the first four full-time public general higher vocational colleges approved by the Zhejiang Provincial People's Government. Its predecessor was the "Ningbo Public Class A Commercial School" founded in 1914, known as the "Cradle of Ningbo Business Culture". The school has undergone several adjustments, relocations, and mergers. In 1975, it was approved as the "Zhejiang Ningbo Commercial School". In December 1999, the school was upgraded from a secondary technical school to a higher vocational school, and Ningbo Industrial and Commercial Vocational and Technical College was established. In May 2001, it was officially renamed "Zhejiang Gongshang Vocational and Technical College". On the fifth anniversary of the establishment of the college and the 92nd anniversary of the school, Xi Jinping, then Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, encouraged the school to "seize opportunities, accelerate development, run at a high level, and run with characteristics." The school adheres to the school motto of "virtue, career, wisdom, and practice", adheres to the school-running philosophy of "quality-based school, service-based school, management-driven school, and characteristic-based school" and the school-running philosophy of "teachers-based, students-oriented", and is guided by the business spirit of "patriotism and love for the school, unswerving educational feelings, hard work, pioneering and innovative spiritual pursuits, respect for teachers and education, and teacher-student-oriented school-running purposes". It has gradually formed the school-running characteristics of "inheriting the spirit of Ningbo business gangs and cultivating modern business gang talents". It is now a high-level higher vocational school construction unit in Zhejiang Province, an excellent school for the national higher vocational and technical college talent training level assessment, a model higher vocational college in Zhejiang Province, a high-quality higher vocational college in Zhejiang Province, a classroom teaching innovation school in Zhejiang Province, a model school of ideological and political education in Zhejiang Province, a 5A-level safe campus in Zhejiang Province, a provincial "safe unit" and a provincial "smart security unit", a civilized campus in Ningbo City, and a national national defense education characteristic school. Four majors, including mold design and manufacturing, applied electronic technology, electrical automation technology, and mechatronics technology, have passed the "Sydney Accord" international engineering education professional certification. 8 national-level boutique (resource sharing) courses, 19 provincial-level boutique courses, 1 national boutique online open course, 3 national online boutique courses for vocational education, 7 provincial-level boutique online open courses for vocational education; 13 provincial "14th Five-Year Plan" key textbooks; 3 training bases supported by the central government, 3 provincial-level demonstration training bases; 11 provincial "five batches" of industry-education integration projects (2 provincial industry-education integration engineering projects, 9 provincial industry-university cooperation and collaborative education projects), 13 Ningbo industry-education integration "five batches" projects; 1 Ningbo industry-specific college, 1 Ningbo pilot specialty college. The school has 6 national, provincial and municipal scientific research platforms, including the National Collaborative Innovation Center for Surface Decoration and Intelligent Molding Technology of Molded Products, the Ningbo Branch of the National Home Appliance Mold Engineering Technology Research Center, the Ningbo Key Laboratory of Intelligent Home Appliances, the Ningbo Brand Building and Innovation Upgrading Research Base, the Ningbo Jinsui Taxation Big Data Research Base, and the Ningbo Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection and Utilization Research Base, and has built international scientific research cooperation platforms with scientific research institutions in countries such as South Korea, Singapore, and Ukraine. In the past five years, the college has been approved for more than 40 national, provincial and ministerial scientific research projects, 218 municipal and departmental scientific research projects, 48 books, 707 papers, 248 patents, and technical services amounting to 62.8 million yuan. It has been approved as a national model vocational education group and a Zhejiang "mass entrepreneurship and innovation" demonstration base, a Zhejiang model employee training base, a Zhejiang model continuing education (social training) base, and a Zhejiang community education demonstration base. The Ninghai Industry-University-Research Base was awarded the "China Mold Industry-University-Research Cooperation Innovation Demonstration Base", and the school has won the "China Industry-University-Research Cooperation Promotion Award" for six consecutive times. The school has a distinctive feature of industry-education integration, and attaches importance to strengthening the "government-school-enterprise" cooperation in running schools. Since 2005, it has taken the lead in running schools in industrial agglomeration areas in Ninghai, Cixi and other counties and cities, and created a "model" for "county-school cooperation" in higher vocational colleges across the country. Ninghai College currently has five full-chain majors, including mold design and manufacturing, CNC technology, mechatronics technology, industrial design, and material forming and control technology, which are closely connected with the Ninghai mold industry. It has built two teaching factories, Ningbo Huabao Mold and Yangchao Mold, and has built six public service platforms for the mold industry. It has built a national collaborative innovation center, a national productive training base, a Zhejiang Province Applied Technology Collaborative Innovation Center, and a Ningbo Advanced Manufacturing Industry Education Integration Education Base. The "headquarters-base" school-running county-school cooperation model formed in this way has been evaluated by experts and the media as "China's 'Ninghai Model' of Higher Vocational Education" and "a model for interpreting the county-school cooperation model of higher vocational colleges." Cixi College currently has five majors, including applied electronic technology, electrical automation technology, industrial robot technology, computer network, and artificial intelligence technology application. It has carried out pilot reforms in regional higher vocational integrated talent training with secondary vocational schools such as Ningbo Xingzhi Vocational High School and Cixi Vocational High School, and jointly established the "Smart Home Appliances Industry-Education Alliance" with home appliance companies. The case "Modern Industrial College Based on County Industrial Clusters - Exploration and Practice of Multi-inclusive Construction Model" formed by this was selected as a typical case of industry-education integration and school-enterprise cooperation by the Ministry of Education. A "1+X" comprehensive cooperation agreement was signed with the Haishu District Government to carry out comprehensive cooperation in 10 areas including rural revitalization, film and television culture, e-commerce, military-civilian integration, Lingang Park, and community colleges. "Vocational Education Serves the Development of "Three Rural Areas", and Design Helps Rural Revitalization" was selected as a typical case of universities in the province helping rural revitalization. The school takes industry-university-research cooperation education as a breakthrough, and continuously promotes multi-level and multi-channel cooperative education, forming a school-enterprise cooperation model combining "points, lines, and surfaces". Through order-based training, setting up offices in factories, and bringing factories into schools, we have carried out "point-to-point" cooperation with leading and backbone enterprises. For example, we have cooperated with GE of the United States to build the first automation system integration engineer training center and skill certification center in the province. We have carried out "point-to-line" cooperation with industry associations (societies) by bringing associations (societies) into schools and in-depth cooperation between schools and associations. Six associations and societies, including Ningbo Industrial Design Society, have settled in the school, and we have established in-depth cooperation with many associations, such as Ningbo Mold Industry Association. We have carried out "county (city) school cooperation" with Ninghai, Cixi, Yinzhou, Haishu and other places, and successively built two production, learning and research bases in Ninghai and Cixi, forming a "one body and two wings" school-running pattern. The school is the first batch of higher vocational colleges in Zhejiang Province approved by the Ministry of Education to carry out Sino-foreign cooperative education projects, and has carried out foreign exchanges and cooperation with educational institutions in 28 countries and regions. In 2002, the school held a Sino-Australian cooperative education project with Holmesglen College in Australia, established the Holmesglen College branch and the international vocational teacher training center, and introduced the TAFE education model. The school won the "Best Overseas Teaching Achievement Award" and "Excellent Management Award" awarded by Australia; the Sino-Australian cooperative international business major was rated as the first batch of exemplary Sino-foreign cooperative education projects in the province. In recent years, the school has served the country's "Belt and Road" initiative, co-built the "China-Indonesia Silk Road College" with Telkom University in Indonesia, co-built the "Live Broadcast and Media Overseas College" with the University of Mekubujana (UMB) in Indonesia, and co-built the "China-Croatia Language and Culture Center" with the Croatian Zall Tourism Management College, built a provincial-level Taiwan youth innovation and entrepreneurship platform, created the "Intangible Cultural Heritage Practice Teaching Base" brand, and cultivated and formed two characteristic cultural practice brands for Ningbo local students, "Yongshang Intangible Cultural Heritage" and "Perceiving China", and the "Silk Road Business" overseas cultural exchange brand. In the future, the school will focus on the comprehensive implementation of the fundamental task of "cultivating morality and educating people", centering on the requirements of building a demonstration zone for common prosperity, creating an "important window" in the new era, and writing a new chapter in Chinese-style modernization of Zhejiang. It will connect with the construction of Ningbo's modern coastal metropolis, and more actively serve the regional economic development and industrial structure adjustment of Ningbo and Zhejiang. We will vigorously implement the development strategy of "expanding the area, strengthening the school, and upgrading the university", seize opportunities, accelerate development, achieve high standards, and develop characteristics, and strive to build the school into an influential "double-high" school at home and abroad with "distinctive characteristics, at the forefront of the province, and well-known in the country"!
