Origin of the school. Zhejiang University City College is a full-time public general college approved by the Ministry of Education and organized by the Hangzhou Municipal People's Government. Its predecessor was Zhejiang University City College, founded in 1999. In June 2020, the Hangzhou Municipal People's Government and Zhejiang University signed a cooperation agreement to support Zhejiang University City College's leapfrog development in ten years.
