Campus distribution: There are four campuses. The main campus Mixcoac is located in the Benito Juarez district in the southwest of Mexico City and was established in 1968; the Guadalajara campus was established in 1981; the Aguascalientes campus was established in 1989; the Santa Fe campus in Mexico City was established in 2011.

Student size: In 2022, there are 11,341 undergraduates and 4,128 graduate students.

History

In 1967, a group of wealthy Catholic businessmen and scholars inspired by the University of Navarra and the University of Salamanca founded the Pan American Institute of Advanced Business Administration (IPADE), which subsequently promoted the creation of the university. The Pan American Institute of Humanities, founded in 1968, merged with IPADE to form the Pan American University. In 1978, the Pan American Institute of Humanities was awarded university status and changed its name to Pan American University.
