Introduction to Kamchatka State University
Kamchatka State University is the easternmost university in the Russian Federation. It is located in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatka and offers multi-disciplinary education courses.
Overview
The school has three colleges: the College of Natural and Technical Sciences, the College of Social Sciences and Humanities, and the College of Psychology and Education. It has 1,755 students, of which 2% are foreign students.
History and Establishment
The school was established in 1958. It was formerly the Kamchatka State Teacher Training College. In 2000, it was renamed the Kamchatka State Teacher Training University. In 2005, it was awarded the status of a classical university and changed to its current name in 2006.
