History and establishment time

On July 4, 1920, the Kuban-Black Sea Revolutionary Committee issued a decree to open a state university with three faculties of medicine, natural sciences and social history in Kuban. Its predecessor was the Diessan Girls' School in Yekaterinodar. In 1921, Kuban State University was reformed and the Department of Medicine became the Kuban Medical College. In 1998, two more faculties of medical prevention and pharmacy were opened.
