Introduction to Kursk State University
Kursk State University is a well-known institution of higher learning in the Central Black Earth Region of the Russian Federation and one of the oldest universities in Kursk Oblast.

The total number of students is over 7,000, with about 900 teachers and researchers. The school has 16 faculties covering a variety of majors, providing education at different levels such as undergraduate, graduate and doctoral.
History and Establishment
The history of the school began in 1794, when Catherine II opened a noble school in Kursk. It was later transformed into a teacher training college in 1934 and renamed Kursk State University.
