Introduction

North-Western State Medical University is located in St. Petersburg, the second largest city in Russia. It is a multidisciplinary medical institution named after Nobel Prize winner Michnikov and is a higher education institution directly under the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.

History and establishment time

The school's history can be traced back to 1885. On October 12, 2011, the St. Petersburg Medical Education Institute was merged into the North-Western State Medical University of Michnikov.

School strength

Teaching achievements: 460 doctors and postdoctoral fellows have been trained, and more than 30,000 Russian doctors participate in 870 training courses at the school every year. Advanced training and further study in multiple additional professional education programs.

Research strength: It currently has 10 research laboratories, 2 research institutes and 1 research cluster.
