Introduction to Petrozavodsk State Conservatory
Petrozavodsk State Conservatory is the only state conservatory in northwest Russia. It is located in Petrozavodsk, the capital of the Republic of Karelia. It was formerly a branch of the St. Petersburg State Conservatory. It became an independent state conservatory in 1991 and was upgraded to a state conservatory in 2011.
Overview
The conservatory is relatively small, with 127 teachers and about 600 students. It offers undergraduate, graduate, master, and doctoral degree courses, covering piano, vocal music, string music and other majors.
History and establishment time
Established in 1967, it was formerly a branch of the St. Petersburg State Conservatory in Petrozavodsk, named after Rimsky-Korsakov, and named after Glazunov after independence in 1991.
School strength
Faculty: Among the 127 teachers, there are 25 professors and doctors of arts, 38 associate professors and doctoral students of arts, including 12 Russian Meritorious Artists, etc.
Teaching Achievements: It has trained many outstanding music talents, such as the winners of the International Tchaikovsky Competition, and its students have repeatedly won excellent results in various international competitions.

The campus is located in Petrozavodsk, a city with fresh air, near Lake Onega, and beautiful natural scenery. The college has a dedicated library with a rich collection of books, as well as teaching facilities such as recording studios. The student dormitory is only a 7-minute walk from the college, facing the shore of Lake Onega, with an elegant and quiet environment.
