Introduction to Saratov State Agrarian University
Saratov State Agrarian University is located in Saratov, Russia. It is an agricultural higher education institution in the Volga region and one of the oldest agricultural higher education institutions in Russia. It enjoys a high reputation in the field of agriculture.
Overview
The school has a variety of disciplines such as agronomy, animal husbandry, and botany. It has 33 research laboratories, research and production centers, including business incubators, science and technology parks, etc. It also publishes its own academic journal "Journal of Agricultural Sciences". There are currently 15,000 students, 400 professors, 600 lecturers and more than 1,300 faculty and staff.
History and establishment time
The school was founded on September 15, 1913. Its predecessor was the Saratov Higher Agricultural Course Class. In 1918, it was transformed into the Saratov Agricultural College. In 1997, the Saratov State Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Saratov State University of Agricultural Engineering and Saratov State Academy of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology merged into the Saratov State Agricultural University, and in June 2022 In June, it was renamed Saratov State University of Genetics, Biotechnology and Engineering.

Faculty: There are nearly 1,000 faculty members, including nearly 200 professors and 300 associate professors, including many members of the Russian Academy of Sciences and its branches and members of the expert committee of the Federal Ministry of Education and Science and the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.
