Introduction to St. Petersburg State Agrarian University
St. Petersburg State Agrarian University is one of the earliest agricultural universities in Russia and an important center for agricultural education and research in Russia. It is at the world's leading level in cold-zone crops and economic animals.

History and establishment time
In 1904, St. Petersburg established a higher agricultural course for women, and in 1906, agricultural courses for men and women were opened. In 1918, these educational institutions were reorganized into the State Agricultural Institute. In 1922, the Petrograd Agricultural Institute was established on this basis. In 1991, it was renamed Leningrad State Agricultural University and changed to its current name in 1992.
