History and establishment time

On April 20, 1931, its predecessor was the Siberian Soviet Law School established by the Soviet government on the basis of the Law and Construction Department of Irkutsk State University. It moved to Sverdlovsk in 1934 and was renamed Sverdlovsk Law School in 1935. In 1992, it was officially renamed Ural State Law School, and in 2014 it was renamed Ural State Law University.
