Vologda State University is a public university in Vologda, Russia. It was formed by the merger of Vologda State Normal University and Vologda State Technical University in October 2013. It has certain strengths in education and scientific research.

Its history can be traced back to the Teachers College established in 1912. In 1918, the Teachers College was established on this basis. After several name changes and developments, it was officially merged into the current Vologda State University in 2013.
