Introduction to Voronezh State Agricultural University
Located in Voronezh, Russia, Voronezh State Agricultural University is one of the largest agricultural universities in Russia and the oldest academic institution in the country's central black soil economic zone. It plays an important role in agricultural education and research.

The school currently has more than 15,000 students and more than 1,400 faculty and staff, including 664 teachers, 440 with doctoral or master's degrees, and 105 professors.
History
Founded in 1912, the school was originally built to commemorate Peter the Great's contribution to the Voronezh region. It is the first higher education institution in the central black soil region of Russia and one of the earliest agricultural universities in Russia. After the October Revolution in 1917, it was renamed the Voronezh Agricultural Institute. In 1967, it was named after its first president, K.D. Glinka. In 1991, it became the Voronezh State Agricultural University. In 2011, it restored its historical name "Voronezh State Agricultural University named after Peter the Great".
