School History: Founded in 1764, it was formerly the Baptist school Rhode Island College, which only accepted boys. It moved to Providence in 1770 and was renamed Brown University in 1804. It merged with Pembroke College in 1971 and began coeducation.

Students must live in campus dormitories before the end of the third year. Seniors and graduate students can choose to rent off-campus.
Food: There are 6 cafeterias on campus, including two self-service cafeterias, a cafeteria, and three order-based cafeterias. In addition, there are many good restaurants in Thayer Street and Providence City around the school.
Transportation: The transportation system is very convenient, and there is a bus every 5 minutes, stopping at every station. Students can take trams and buses for free with their student ID cards, and there are also school buses on campus. In addition, the school also has a private car service after 5 pm, which is available on call within ten minutes and escorts you home for free.
Clubs and Activities: There are a variety of student clubs and organizations, covering academics, arts, culture, sports, public welfare and other aspects, providing students with a broad social platform and opportunities to develop personal interests and hobbies.
Admissions
