History
The school was founded in 1877 and was originally named Academy of the New Church College. It was renamed in 1997.
Its development is closely related to the New Jerusalem Church. In 1890, after receiving donations from John Pitcairn and others, the college expanded from a seminary to a high school and a two-year college. It became a four-year college in 1914 and began to award Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees in 1922.
School size
The college covers an area of 130 acres, with a beautiful campus environment, pleasant natural scenery, open undeveloped land, and the nearby Pennypack Ecological Restoration Trust Fund has added an 8-mile-long nature trail to the campus.
