Background and development: In 1997, the first Cisco Networking Academy was established in the United States, aiming to cultivate network technology talents through cooperation with academies around the world. With the development opportunities of the Internet, Cisco Networking Academy has expanded rapidly and now has spread to 151 countries, with 10,088 academies, 426,089 participating students and 22,939 teachers.
Teaching model and characteristics: Using e-learning methods, a complete network teaching system has been formed. It provides web-based content, online assessments, student performance tracking, hands-on experiments, teacher training and support, etc., and helps students prepare for industry standard certifications, such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Senior Network Associate (CCNP) and Network + certification.
Course setting: Its courses are jointly developed by education and network experts and meet the national standards of mathematics and science in the United States and practical work skills requirements. The content not only includes network technology knowledge, but also covers mathematics, science, problem solving, reading and writing skills, etc., to cultivate students' comprehensive literacy and collaborative work ability. The curriculum is also continuously extended and expanded, adding courses such as Unix basic courses and Web design basic courses sponsored by IT industry leaders.
Educational Ecosystem Cooperation: Cisco actively cooperates with schools, colleges, commercial organizations, non-profit organizations, international organizations, associations and government agencies to jointly promote the development of network technology education.
