Clark Atlanta University (CAU) is a private comprehensive national university located in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. It was founded in 1988. The school was formed by the merger of two historically black colleges, Clark College and Atlanta University. Clark Atlanta University has historically enrolled mainly black students, but now also welcomes students from different racial, ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds.
