Basic Information
Founded: 1985.
Geographical Location: Its service area includes Collin County and Rockwall County, as well as parts of Denton County in Frisco and Colonial City, and parts of Celina and Prosper School Districts. The college is headquartered in McKinney's Collin Higher Education Center.

Campus Facilities
McKinney Campus: Opened in 1985, the campus has facilities such as a multi-story parking garage, library, classrooms, offices, and a student development center. The campus library has a total area of 73,500 square feet. In January 2016, a 125,000 square foot state-of-the-art health science center was added.
Plano Campus: Also known as the Spring Creek Campus, opened in the fall of 1988. It is the campus with the largest number of students and is also the home of the college's fine arts and athletic programs. The campus has a 30,000 square foot art gallery, theater center, gymnasium, and tennis facilities. In January 2013, an 88,000 square foot library with a magnificent architectural style was opened.
Frisco Campus: Also known as the Preston Ridge Campus, opened in July 1995. The Collin College business and high-tech programs are now concentrated here. In 2009, the culinary arts program also moved to this campus. In 2014, a 70,000-square-foot building on this campus was renamed "Lawlor Hall" due to a $2 million scholarship donation.
