The college was founded in 1995 by entrepreneur and Tulsa native Teresa Knox as Dental Direction: Dental Assistant School. In its first year, the school graduated 12 students.
In 1996, the school began to apply for accreditation from the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES). By mid-1998, more than 300 students had graduated from the Dental Assistant program. The school was then renamed Community Care College and received ABHES accreditation.
In 2003, the college moved to its current location at 4242 Sheridan Road in Tulsa. In 2004, it began offering an Associate of Applied Science degree, which was changed to an Associate of Occupational Science in Business and Industrial Management in 2017.
