Everett Community College (EVCC) is a public community college in Washington State, USA. The following is a detailed introduction to the school:

Historical development:

Founded in 1941, students initially attended classes in a renovated elementary school. In 1958, the college's main campus moved to the north of Everett. In 1967, the college was renamed Everett Community College to meet the requirements of the Washington State Community College Act. During the development process, the school has been continuously built and expanded, and teaching facilities have been continuously improved.

Geographic location:

Located in Everett, Washington, only 25 miles from the famous city of Seattle. Everett is a city with a high level of security, idyllic scenery, and a strong American style. The city is surrounded by the Cascade Mountains in the east and the beautiful Puget Sound in Washington State in the west. The climate is mild and humid all year round and the scenery is pleasant. In addition, Everett is the location of Boeing's largest production center, providing students with internships and employment opportunities in related fields.

Academic Programs:

Degree Programs: Associate degree programs are offered in Arts and Sciences, Science, Business, Applied Science, Technical Arts, Fine Arts, and General Studies. A Bachelor of Applied Science in Accounting is also offered.

Certificate Programs: Certificates are awarded in more than 30 technical and vocational fields, which provide job-readiness through specific skills and professional certifications.

Other Programs: English as a Second Language (ESL) programs, high school completion programs, and general education development programs are available to meet the learning needs of different students.

Transfer Programs: Partnering with many four-year colleges, students can transfer to other colleges to continue their studies and obtain a bachelor's degree after completing a two-year associate degree program at Everett Community College.

Campus Facilities:

The main campus is located on 46 acres at 2000 Tower Street in Everett, adjacent to the Legion Memorial Park Golf Course. The campus has 20 buildings, many of which are named after peaks in the Cascade and Olympic Mountains.

In the past 10 years, the school has completed more than $150 million in new construction projects, including Whitehorse Hall, which opened in 2007, Gray Wolf Hall, which opened in 2009, and the Walt Price Student Fitness Center, which opened in 2011, providing students with a good learning and living environment.

Faculty and Student Group:

It has an excellent team of teachers who work closely with business and industry experts, community leaders, and other educational institutions to provide students with relevant and challenging learning experiences in and out of the classroom.

The student population has a wide age span, ranging from 12 to 85 years old, with the largest number of students aged 18 to 21. About 30% of the school's students are people of color. Many of the school's alumni are leaders in the business, government, civic and social fields in the region.

School Management and Accreditation:

Everett Community College is one of 34 community and technical colleges in Washington State and is governed by five board members appointed by the Governor of Washington State.

The school has been accredited by the Northwest Association of Colleges and Universities, and its academic qualifications and degrees are widely recognized.
