Introduction and Overview
Kent State University is located in Kent, Ohio, USA. It is a large public research university with nearly 42,000 students, including international students from more than 100 countries and regions.
History and Establishment
The school was founded in 1910 and was originally named Ohio State Kent Normal College. In 1911, it was renamed Kent State Normal School. In 1915, it was changed to Kent State Normal College. In 1929, it was renamed Kent State College. In 1935, it was finally named Kent State University.
