School History
MediaTech Institute was founded in 1999 as the audio engineering program of the Dallas Sound Lab. In 2003, the Dallas and Austin Sound Labs added a campus in Houston and changed its name to MediaTech Institute. The school has been accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Career Schools and Colleges in 2005 and 2010, and was approved by the U.S. government in 2008 to provide financial aid through Title IV funding.
