School History
Messenger College was founded in September 1987 by the merger of Southern Bible College in Houston, Texas and Evangelical Christian College in Fresno, California. Its campus is located in Joplin, Missouri, the international headquarters of the Pentecostal Church.
In May 2011, Joplin was hit hard by an EF-5 tornado, and the college campus was used as a material distribution and volunteer housing center. After Mercy Health Systems proposed to purchase the campus for the construction of a hospital, the college moved to Euless, Texas in 2012 and moved to Bedford in August 2018, merging with the campus of the Pentecostal Church International Mission Center.

Academic majors
Majors: The college mainly offers courses in two majors: Christian Ministry and Christian Counseling. Among them, the Christian Ministry major has seven different directions, including student ministry, worship ministry, cross-cultural ministry, pastoral ministry, biblical studies, discipleship training ministry, and administration and leadership. Students can choose to study for a one-year certificate program, a two-year associate degree program, or a four-year bachelor's degree program; the Christian Counseling major only offers a four-year bachelor's degree program.
