History:
The school was originally founded in 1953 in Houston Heights, Texas, as South Texas Bible Institute.
In 1955, the school's curriculum was expanded to a four-year college program and changed its name to Gulf Coast Bible College.
In 1985, the school moved to Oklahoma City and changed its name to Mid-America Bible College.
In 2003, it was finally named Mid-America Christian University.
