School History
Founded in 1974, its history can be traced back to the Willamette University School of Medicine established in the 1860s. After several mergers and name changes, it formed its current name in 2001.
School Location
The main campus is on the top of Marquam Hill south of downtown Portland, which is also the location of the medical school and two affiliated hospitals. In addition, there is a campus in Hillsboro that specializes in graduate-level science and engineering education.
School Size
With a 400-acre campus, it is a large academic health center that includes hospitals, clinics, schools and research centers. The school's endowment fund in 2020 is US$829.7 million, and the budget in 2019 is US$39.3 US$100 million.
