History

Early Development: The school was founded in 1921 as the Pittsburgh School of Accountancy by Andrew Blass, whose curriculum drew on the curriculum he oversaw while serving as dean of Pace College in Washington, DC.

Name Changes and Expansions: In 1935, the school was renamed Robert Morris College of Business, adding business and secretarial studies. In 1962, the school moved to Moon Township and was renamed Robert Morris Junior College, and began to award associate degrees. In 1969, the school was upgraded to Robert Morris College and began to offer a bachelor's degree program in business administration. In 1999, the school opened its first doctoral degree program.
