School History
The school began classes on September 21, 1970, and was originally named Oscar Rose Junior College in honor of Oscar V. Rose, former superintendent of Mid-Del School District. In April 1983, it was approved by Senate Bill 9 and changed its name to Rose State College on November 1.
Academics
The college offers a variety of scholarships including leadership scholarships and "Ticket to Rose". "Ticket to Rose" provides free tuition and mandatory fees for graduates of Midwest City High School, Carl Albert High School, Choctaw High School, Del City High School and Star Spencer High School.
Student Life
The school's representative colors are blue and gold, and the mascot is the Raider. The college serves hundreds of military personnel each year, also operates a student newspaper called "15th Street News", and hosts many community events throughout the year. The campus has an apartment-style residential area called "The Village" that can accommodate up to 180 students.

The campus covers an area of approximately 116 acres, has twenty-two buildings, and currently has approximately 13,000 students.
