Saint Augustine's University is a private four-year liberal arts college in Raleigh, North Carolina, with an average enrollment of approximately 1,000 students. The school offers more than 20 undergraduate degree programs in the fields of arts, social sciences, business, education, exercise science, mathematics, health sciences, and more.
History and Founding
The school was founded in 1867 by the Episcopal Diocese of North Carolina as "Saint Augustine's Normal School and Collegiate Institute" to provide education for freed slaves. In 1893, it was renamed "Saint Augustine's School", in 1919 it was changed to "Saint Augustine's Junior College", in 1927 it became a four-year institution, in 1928 it was renamed "Saint Augustine's College", and in 1931 it awarded its first bachelor's degree. In 2012, the school was renamed "Saint Augustine's University".

Campus Facilities: The campus is located in the north of Raleigh, covers an area of 105 acres, and has a variety of modern facilities, including teaching buildings, libraries, laboratories, gymnasiums, dormitories, restaurants, etc. The school also has St. Agnes Hospital, which is the first school in North Carolina to provide medical care and training for African Americans.
Natural Environment: The campus environment is beautiful and tree-lined, providing students with a comfortable and pleasant learning and living environment.
Campus Culture: The school focuses on the all-round development of students and provides a rich variety of student activities and organizations, such as student unions, clubs, sports teams, etc. The school's sports program is excellent.
