History of the school

The school was founded in June 1999 as Quick Study Learning Center, which provided educational services to students who were learning English as a second language and pursuing a General Education Development Certificate (GED). In November 2002, the school transformed into Southwest Career Institute and began to offer career education courses. In 2009, the school added an associate degree program in allied health and changed its name to Southwest Career College. With the continuous development of the school and the enrichment of course resources, it was officially renamed Southwest University at El Paso in 2012.
