School History
Southwestern Adventist University was founded in 1893 and was originally named Keene Industrial College. Its school property was funded and purchased by Seventh-day Adventists in the Dallas area. The first building built in 1894 was also used as a church. The school had 56 students at the time and was renamed to its current name in 1996.
