School History
The school was founded in 1948 by educator and pastor G.P. Bowser in Fort Worth, Texas as Southern Bible College, with only 45 students at first.
In the summer of 1949, the school purchased the property of the closed Texas Military Academy in Terrell and moved to Terrell in the fall of that year, changing its name to Southwestern Christian College.

Beautiful campus environment: There are two buildings of local historical significance on campus, one of which is the first house built in Terrell Town. It is octagonal and called "Round House".
