History
In 1787, Pittsburgh College was established. In 1819, the college was renamed the University of Western Pennsylvania. In 1908, it was officially renamed the University of Pittsburgh.
In 1927, the Johnstown campus was established; in 1962, the Greensburg campus was established; in 1963, the Bradford campus was established.
