History:
The school was founded in 1911 and was originally named St. George Stake Academy. It later went through several name changes, including Dix College, Dix State College, and Dix State University. In 2021, the school was renamed Utah Tech.
It was founded by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and later became part of the Utah Higher Education System.
