History:
Founded in 1967 by Peter Dietrich to meet the growing demand for community colleges in the region. Originally located in the Education Complex on Park Street, the building was previously the site of Walla Walla High School, but later moved to its current location east of town near the airport due to its expansion. In addition, a branch campus was established in Clarkston, 100 miles east.
Campus Distribution:
There are three campuses in southeastern Washington State, and a teaching facility at the Washington State Prison.
