Establishment time and location: Whatcom Community College was established in 1967 in Bellingham, Washington, USA.
Accreditation: It has been accredited by the Northwest College and University Commission since 1976.
Campus facilities:
Size and layout: The college covers an area of 72 acres. The campus is located in the north of Bellingham and consists of 12 buildings, including the Auxiliary Services Building, Baker Hall, Cascade Hall, Foundation Building, Health Career Education Center, Heiner Center, Kelly Hall, Kuhlshan Hall, Laidlaw Center, Pavilion, Roy Studio and Sayre Student Center.
Student dormitory: It has an on-campus student dormitory Cedar Hall, which provides accommodation for 230 students, with a variety of suite types and a large number of public spaces for students to study, gather and socialize.
Academic program:
Transfer program: Help students transfer to a four-year university after completing two years of study to continue their studies.
Professional and technical training: Provide a wealth of professional and technical courses covering business, education, health care, information technology, science and engineering and other fields, to provide skills support for students to directly find employment after graduation. For example, in the field of healthcare, there are majors such as nursing, medical assistants, and physical therapy technology; in the field of business, there are majors such as finance, accounting, and business administration; in the field of information technology, there are majors such as computer system security and network communications.

The students come from a wide range of sources, with about 300 international students from 30 countries each year, as well as many local students and veterans.
In terms of student composition, about 56% are female and 44% are male; in terms of age distribution, 68% of students are between 16 and 24 years old; in terms of residential area, 76% of students aged 20 and under are from Whatcom County.
Sports and Extracurricular Activities:
Sports Competition: The college's sports teams participate in the Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC) North Region Competition, with intercollegiate sports such as men's and women's soccer, women's volleyball, men's and women's basketball.
Club Activities: The school has a rich variety of clubs and clubs covering academics, arts, culture, sports and other aspects, providing students with opportunities to expand their interests, exercise leadership skills and make friends.
Honors and Achievements:
In October 2014, the National Security Agency and the Department of Homeland Security designated Whatcom Community College as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance and Cyber Defense, one of the first community colleges in the United States to receive this honor; in July 2014, the college also received the "Progress and Success Award" from Hobson.
