History of the school
The college was founded in 1924 and was formerly a women's college founded by Sister St. Joseph.
In 1972, the college established a continuing education department, now the School of Continuing Education, which provides undergraduate study opportunities for mature men and women.
In 1980, a coeducational graduate education program was established, and a doctoral degree was added in 1997.
In 2003, the college began to accept male undergraduates. After the undergraduate college became coeducational, the number of students increased dramatically.
