Historical background:
Founded in 1964, it was promoted by Ray W. Howard, head of the Shoreline School District. Initially, classes were taught in the form of night classes at Shoreline High School (now Shoreline Center) in January 1964. Later, the Boeing family donated about 83 acres of woodland to build the campus. In the fall of 1965, the new campus was officially put into use.
