Nature of the institution: Public institution, jointly established by the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning, Debswana Diamonds and the Botswana Institute of Accountants.

Location: The main campus is located in the capital Gaborone, and the other campus is in Francistown.

History

In 1996, the Botswana Accountancy College was established to reduce dependence on foreign accountants and to become a self-funded project in the long term. It was initially funded by the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning and Debswana Diamonds until 2007.

School Strength

Course Setting: Provides high-quality higher education in the fields of accounting, finance, business, management, hospitality, leisure, taxation and information and communication technology, covering undergraduate and master's degree courses and professional qualification certification training.

Faculty: With 61 full-time and 11 part-time administrative staff, the faculty has rich teaching experience and industry practice background.

Cooperation and Exchange: It has cooperative relations with the University of Derby, the University of Sunderland and Sheffield Hallam University in the UK, providing students with international exchange and further study opportunities.

Campus Environment

Complete facilities: modern classrooms, libraries, computer laboratories, skill centers, cafeterias, etc. are equipped. Dormitories are also provided for students, which can accommodate 112 students.

Campus distribution: The main campus is located in the Fairgrounds office park in Gaborone, with a beautiful environment and convenient transportation; the Francistown campus also has complete teaching facilities and learning environment.
