The Air Force Aviation University is located in Changchun, Jilin Province, the city of spring in the north. The university consists of 7 campuses, covering an area of 19 million square meters, distributed in four cities in Heilongjiang, Jilin and Liaoning provinces, like a string of bright pearls inlaid in the vast land of Northeast China. The predecessor of the university was the first aviation school founded by our army in 1946 - the Northeast Democratic Alliance Aviation School (i.e. the Northeast Old Aviation School). In 2004, with the approval of the Central Military Commission, the former Second Aviation College of the Air Force, Changchun Flight College of the Air Force and Seventh Flight College of the Air Force, which were blood-related to the Northeast Old Aviation School, were merged to form the Air Force Aviation University. After more than 60 years of trials and tribulations, the University of Aviation has created more than 10 Air Force records in the history of the Chinese Air Force, including "the first to train the first batch of female aviators in New China", "the first to train dual-degree pilots", and "the first to cultivate undergraduate talents in air technical support". It has trained more than 140,000 talents of various types, including Li Ming, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, combat heroes Wang Hai, Zhang Jihui, Liu Yuti, Du Fengrui, Li Guangnan, a model of Air Force maintenance, space heroes Yang Liwei, Zhai Zhigang, and heroic astronauts Fei Junlong, Nie Haisheng, Liu Boming, Jing Haipeng, and China's first female astronaut Liu Yang[1]. Nearly 300 graduates have grown into leading cadres at the military level and above. The university is known as the "cradle of heroes", "cradle of pilots", "cradle of astronauts" and "cradle of generals".
