It is surrounded by mountains and rivers and has beautiful scenery. It is an intermediate command college that trains air force division-level command officers and is the highest institution for training command officers in the Air Force. The Air Force Command College was established in Beijing on September 12, 1958, based on the Air Force Department of the Nanjing Military Academy, where Marshal Liu Bocheng was the president. The first president and political commissar of the college was concurrently served by General Liu Zhen, deputy commander of the Air Force. Over the past 40 years since the establishment of the college, more than 20,000 command and staff talents have been trained for the Air Force, of which more than 150 have taken up leadership positions at the army level and above, and most of them have assumed leadership positions at the division level. Zhou Ziyu, deputy director of the General Political Department, Liu Shunyao, commander of the Air Force, and some other senior generals graduated from the Air Force Command College. The students with doctoral and master's degrees trained by the college have made many contributions to the construction of the Air Force and to the military academic research and theoretical construction of the Air Force.
