[College Overview] Anhui Grain Engineering Vocational College, formerly known as Anhui Hefei Grain School, was founded in 1964 and is now affiliated to the Anhui Provincial Development and Reform Commission and the Anhui Provincial Grain and Material Reserve Bureau. In 2002, it was renamed Anhui Economic and Technical School. In 2004, the former Anhui Grain Cadre School was merged. In May 2007, the provincial government approved the establishment of Anhui Business Engineering Technician College, which focuses on the training of high-skilled talents. In March 2012, with the approval of the Anhui Provincial People's Government, Anhui Grain Engineering Vocational College was established, thus entering the ranks of higher vocational colleges. The college is located in Xinzhan High-tech Zone, Hefei City. There are more than 9,000 students and 526 full-time and part-time teachers. In addition, nearly 20 experts and scholars from the University of Science and Technology of China, Nanjing Agricultural University, Nanjing University of Finance and Economics, Hefei Grain Group and other units have been hired as distinguished professors and industrial professors of our college, forming a faculty team with optimized age structure, high academic level and strong professional ability. [Experimental Training] The college has formed a relatively complete vocational skills education system and practical teaching facilities. There are 11 characteristic (key) majors, including grain engineering technology and management, grain and oil storage and transportation and quality safety, engineering cost, food inspection and testing technology, big data and accounting, mechatronics technology, animation production technology, e-commerce, urban rail transit electromechanical technology, food quality and safety, and computer network technology, which have greatly improved the ability to serve the industry and economic and social development. Among them, grain engineering technology and management, grain storage and transportation and quality safety and other grain-related specialty (key) majors are unique in Anhui vocational colleges, mainly for grain storage enterprises, grain and oil and food processing enterprises to cultivate technical and skilled talents. In 2016, the college successfully hosted the 4th Anhui Province and the 4th National Grain Industry Vocational Skills Competition, and won the National Competition Outstanding Organization Award. The contestants won three golds and one bronze in the national student group and won all the awards in the provincial student group. In 2019, the contestants of the Grain Academy once again won all the awards in the student group of the 5th Anhui Grain Industry Vocational Skills Competition.
